Vanessa has over 15 years of experience and knowledge, which means she can cut through the glossy brochures and sales pitches to ensure the experience offered matches your wishes exactly.

Having undertaken quite the professional journey since embarking on this unexpected career path in 2011, fresh out of school as a know it all 19-year-old. Today, Vanessa is the proud owner of her own Agency - Opulent Travel by Vanessa Harrison, where she has the privilege of looking after the travel arrangements of people who value expert advice, personalised service and thoughtfully planned holidays. Her customers love to research in depth their travel and spend many weeks and months planning it. Unlike traditional sales agents who just want to get the booking in as quickly as possible with as little effort as they can, Vanessa prefers to take time to understand her customers and assist them with really understanding the holiday they book.

We want our customers to think of us not only when it comes to booking their holiday but in the lead up to the booking with their research and questions.
As an independent agency we have no preferred supplier targets and so can truly access and provide options to our customers from the widest variety of suppliers. We also want our customers to have one number to call when arranging their travel, so we also choose to go beyond the basic's of flights, hotel & transfer bookings and include in our service acquisition of Visa's, insurance, rail tickets, car hire, cruise line shore excursions and even where possible dinning and activity arrangements. As Australians we travel a long way to get anywhere so making the most of our time and having as much pre-planned as possible is vital.

During your consultation, Vanessa will take the time to understand your travel aspirations, the experiences you are seeking, how you like to travel and the pace that suits you. You will discuss your destination ideas, travel preferences, budget and any special requirements to allow her to create a journey that is perfectly tailored to you. With carefully selected accommodation, flights, cruises, rail and unique experiences with those thoughtful finishing touches, every recommendation is made with one guiding philosophy: the quality of the experience.

Vanessa will put together a completely tailored proposal/set of proposals for you to consider. This usually takes a few days, though a fully tailored journey may take up to 14days to prepare.

Once all the necessary amendments have been made and you are completely happy with the proposal, a final proposal will be made for you to sign off on.
3. Invoice & Payment

Once the proposal is signed off Vanessa will book in the individual elements of your Travel. An invoice will be created and the commitment deposit will be applied as a partial payment.
The remaining payments will be required by the dates outlined on the invoice.
Reminders will be sent out two weeks before each due date, excluding deposit

Customer payments you can choose to make one payment to our Customer Trust Fund which are then paid out in most instances the same working day to the suppliers or if you would prefer the supplier payments can be charged directly.

Vanessa will print off and package together for you all of your travel documents.
We aim to have these posted out to you to receive a month before departure. They are all sent by tracked mail.
Some boarding passes may only be accessible on mobile phones.

Vanessa will continue to monitor your plans whilst you are away and will ensure your are advised of any changes. Vanessa will send notifications either through email or the Compass App directly to you as well as speaking with the relevant suppliers to ensure the message is received by her customers.
